The Coskata Belt (Black & Silver)

The Coskata Belt started with a wild oyster shell harvested from Coskata beds—a natural oyster ground that curls around Nantucket's northeastern tip, cradled by 500 acres of salt marsh, largely unchanged for centuries. Modeled after the oyster he harvested, artist Bernard Kelly of the Cape Cod Buckle Company casts each buckle, capturing every ridge, ripple, and imperfection that the sea left behind. No two are exactly alike.

Similarly, the leather belt is handcrafted on Cape Cod by artisans who finish each strap by hand.

*A note on provenance. Slight variations in metal color occur naturally from casting to casting. Not a flaw, but proof of the human hand behind the buckle.
